This is Sondrine, Gargoyle Girl, in progress below. She's almost done.
She's about 13 or so inches tall. Her wings are no longer posable, but they are removable for easy shipping. Her base has sculpted roses, some vines, a skull and I'm planning on still building it up a bit.
I'll show this piece at Norwescon 2008.

I built these wings using a bat wing skeleton as a template, printed to size. I measured and bent wire, cut to length, soldered, wrapped, sculpted knuckles, painted, stretched nylon, epoxied nylon on, painted, epoxied, cut to size. I love these wings. Oh heck, I'll put them here:
I drilled holes into her back to insert the wings there. I'm still considering reinforcing the internal walls with plastic so that they don't degrade with time if the wings are put on and taken off regularly. Preferably the piece would be set up and left alone.
I really like her face quite a bit. I'll try to get my husband to take better photos for me, but these will suffice for now.
